Where is Javea

Javea is a coastal town located in Alicante Province in the Communidad of Valencia, only 45-minutes from Alicante airport. Javea offer easy access to major cities like Valencia and Alicante, as well as being a gateway to explore the rest of Spain and other European countries. The region is well-connected with international airports and high-speed rail connections, making it convenient for both domestic and international travelers.

Area

Javea is divided into three distinct areas, Javea Puerto (Javea Port), Javea Pueblo (Old town), and the Playa de Arenal (Arenal Beach), and remains unspoiled by the large-scale tourism which has affected other towns.

The Old Town of Javea, is a myriad of narrow streets, where you can imagine what life was like in a small Spanish town many years ago. You can visit the Javea indoor market, or the gothic church of San Bartolome, which dates back to the 15th century.

The Port of Javea still functions as a fishing port, as well as a marina, you can wander around waiting for the boats to bring their catch in or sit in one of the many restaurants and watch the world go by.

Javea has its own Golf club for those who do not wish to travel further afield, the Javea Golf Club is located on the Jávea-Benitachell, Nº 285 km. 4,5 Aptdo. de Correos nº 148, 03730 Xàbia, Alicante. If you feel like more challenges courses then these can be found in Benidorm and in the Orihuela Costa (Villamartin, Las Ramblas etc)

Shopping 

Javea has lots of small boutiques, tourist shops, Restaurants and Bars, though if you are looking for a little bit more then you can visit the commercial center in Ondarra, which hosts a large range of stores. The city of Valencia is only 1 hours drive or catch the train from Xeraco or visit the La Zenia Boulevard in the Orihuela Costa.

Javea has its own Central Salud (Public), where there is an Emergency 24x7 clinic, the first port of call when you need to have minor injuries looked at, though for more serious injuries it is only a 15-minute drive to the Denia Public Hospital and their own Emergency care unit.

There are a wealth of Supermarkets in Javea, from Consum, Mercadona, Aldi, and Lidl

Beaches

The main beach in Javea is the wide-open sandy beach of Playa De Arenal, in the summer you can rent Pedaloes, SUP boards, and general watersports equipment.

Javea also has a number of "Calas", Cala de Barraca, Cala Granadella, and Cala Blanca to name just a few.
