    Guide to Benitachell

    Benitachell is a municipality located in Alicante Province in the Communidad of Valencia, only a 45-minute drive from Alicante airport. Benitachell has excellent road links with close access to the AP7 motorway and the national road, N332 which runs from Valencia to Almeria.

    Beaches: The town of Benitachell (Poble Neu de Benitachell) is 6 km from its own beach at Cala del Moraig, or the coves of Los Tiesto's and El Llebeig, though the beaches of Moraira are also only 6km away. Benitachell has remained unspoiled by the large-scale tourism which has affected other towns, and it retains all of its charms.

    Restaurants: There are a selection of Restaurants in Benitachell, though for a greater selection people travel to Moraira or Javea where there are an even larger number of restaurants, cafes, and bars to suit every taste and budget. 

    Golf Courses: The Javea Golf club is a 1-minute drive from the center of Benitachell  or you can visit the 9-hole course located at Golf Ifach in San Jaime, Moraira, or The La Sella Golf Club and Resort where you can choose from three distinct courses. The "Llebeig," a 9-hole south-facing course surrounded by lovely pine trees and with sweeping views of the Montgó. The "Gregal," a flatter 9-hole course with difficult water hazards, or the "Mestral," a north-facing 9-hole course with spectacular sea vistas.

    Shopping:  has  though if you are looking for a little bit more then you can visit the Centro Commercial in Ondarra, which also houses a large Carrefour Supermarket, as well as a Sports and Activities shop, Decathlon 

    Education: There is a public Junior/Infant School in Benitachell, though the nearest Comprehensive/Secondary school is in either Teulada or Javea

    Supermarkets: There is a Masymas and Mercadonna in Benitachell as well as a small indoor Market near the church. 

    Area : Most properties are located in Urbanisations (Residential areas), whilst the old town of Benitachell is comprised of mainly Apartments and Townhouses, these Urbanisations, include Les Fonts, Los Molinos, Raco de Nadal, Cumbre Del Sol, Pueblo Alcazar, Les Fonts, La Joya and Los Callistros. Cumbre del Sol is the largest urbanisation in Benitachell and stands out on its own with a good selection of bars, restaurants, shops as well as villas to rent on both a long or short-term basis.

    Property: Depending on the type of property you are looking for will determine the area that you should look for a property. If you are looking for sea views then Cumbre Del Sol has unrivaled sea views, however, if you are looking for a property for sale in Benitachell that is within walking distance to Benitachell center and local amenities then Los Olivos would be preferable.

    Purchasing or renting a villa or apartment is also a lot more affordable in Benitachell than it is in neighbouring Moraira or Javea on both a long-term and short-term basis. Benitachell has become a popular place for ex-pats to reside as it is so close to Javea and has all the amenities required for a quiet life.

    Sporting Facilities: Benitachell, like Benissa, has its own sporting facilities, with an indoor heated pool  a football ground and Padel courts.
