Moraira also has its own Marina, with a Club Nautico, where you can sit and watch the sunset over the sea, with views to the Penon Ifach in Calpe.
Moraira´s roots were as a fishing village, which is still evident from the weekly fish market, and it still has 5 operational fishing boats, which you can watch unloading their catch. In addition, it boasts some of the best Moscatel grapes in the region which are used to make the local Moscatel in the Bodega in Teulada, only a 6km drive from Moraira.
Today Moraira´s economy is based around tourism and property for sale in Moraira, although there are no high-rise apartments, only beautiful villas, the construction sector is strictly regulated as to what can be built, which has ensured that the town retains its natural beauty.
