    Guide to the Orba Valley

    The Orba Valley is located in the River Gerona Valley, Orba is around 1 hour and 15 minutes from Alicante Airport, a 20-minute drive to Denia, or 30 minutes to Javea. Orba is one of the larger towns in the Orba Valley of which Benidoleig, Sagra, Tormos, Sanet y Negrals, Beniarbeig, Rafol d’Almunia and Benimeli are also part of.

    Beaches

    The nearest beaches to the Orba Valley are in Denia, only a 20-minute drive, these are Las Marinas, and Les Bovetes

    Restaurants

    Each of the eight villages has its own restaurants and cafe bars, including Cal Morell, the New India Gate, and the Pizzeria Piscina de Orba. 

    Golf Courses

    There is a 9-hole course located at Golf Ifach in San Jaime or you can visit The La Sella Golf Club and Resort where you can choose from three distinct courses. The "Llebeig," a 9-hole south-facing course surrounded by lovely pine trees and with sweeping views of the Montgó. The "Gregal," a flatter 9-hole course with difficult water hazards, or the "Mestral," a north-facing 9-hole course with spectacular sea vistas. There is also the 9-hole course in Javea, or only 1.5 hour's drive and you can visit the Golf Courses in Villamartin, close to Torrevieja.

    Shopping

    In each village in the Orba Valley, there are all local services from a bakery, butchers and Vegetable shops, however, if you are looking for a little bit more then you can visit the Centro Commercial in Ondara, which also houses a large Carrefour Supermarket, as well as a Sports and Activities shop, Decathlon 

    Education

    Each of the eight villages has access to schools, to consult on a village-by-village basis then this website is provided by the Department of Education

    Each of the nine villages has access to basic medical services, though for more serious injuries it is only a 15-minute drive to the Denia Public Hospital and its own Emergency care unit. 

    Area

    The Orba Valley has some of the most magnificent scenery in Spain, with its landscape of olive and pine trees, orange groves, and vineyards, in late January and early February, the whole of the Orba Valley is covered with pink and white almond blossoms,s and is the best time to see it.

    The village of Orba is at the heart of the Orba Valley, and is proud of its Moorish past, which is still evident today through the architecture of the town. Orba is a bustling town in the interior of Spain with all the activity one would anticipate from a typical Spanish town.
