Denia is a beautiful coastal town located in the province of Alicante in Spain, with easy access to the AP7 highway and the N332 national highway and only a 50-minute drive from Alicante Airport.

If you're thinking about buying a property in Denia, here are some things you should know:

Beaches: Denia has its own marina as well as the Balearia Port of Denia, from which you can catch a ferry to Mallorca, Formentera, and Ibiza. You may go along the area known as Las Rotas, which has fish restaurants overlooking the pebble beaches, to the right of the Marina. The Playa de Maria Casiana is the largest sandy beach in the area. Take the Carretera de las Marines to the left of the Denia Port and visit any of the beaches that reach all the way to Cullera and Valencia. Beach bars, restaurants, and Chiringuitos can be found all along the shoreline, where you may sit and watch the world go by.

Restaurants: You are spoilt for choice in Denia, whether you want to try out El Magazinos food hall, the Tapas Alley, Calle Loreto, the restaurants overlooking the Marina, or simply wander off the Las Marinas beach and grab a simple lunch. Denia has an eatery for every taste and budget. 

Golf Courses: The La Sella Golf Club and Resort is the nearest Golf Course. You can choose from three distinct courses. The "Llebeig," a 9-hole south-facing course surrounded by lovely pine trees and with sweeping views of the Montgó. The "Gregal," a flatter 9-hole course with difficult water hazards, or the "Mestral," a north-facing 9-hole course with spectacular sea vistas. There is also the 9 hole course in Javea, or only 1.5 hour's drive and you can visit the Golf Courses in Villamartin, close to Torrevieja.

Shopping: Denia is full of small boutiques, tourist shops, Restaurants, and Bars, the streets Marqués de Campo, Cop, Diana, Cándida Carbonell, Carlos Sent, Temple de Sant Telm, La Mar, Magallanes, Colón, and De la Va comprise the shopping district of Denia, where you can also find the municipal market, as well as the weekly fruit and vegetable market, and a variety of boutiques and fashion shops, shoe shops, cafes, restaurants, and nightlife. When you approach Denia from the N332 you can also find a wealth of Car Francises, Furniture, and other stores along the CV725.

If you are looking for a little bit more then you can visit the Centro Commercial in Ondarra, which also houses a large Carrefour Supermarket, as well as a Sports and Activities shop, Decathlon 
 
Education: Dénia now offers 10 educational centers for infants, primary school, and secondary school students. Six of the 10 centers are public, three are subsidized, and the remaining two are private. In addition to the 10 education facilities in Dénia, there is one that is solely dedicated to special education. They are also some other options nearby

Medical: Denia has its own Central Salud (Public - Centro de Salud Joan Fuster), where there is an Emergency 24x7 clinic, the first port of call when you need to have minor injuries looked at, though for more serious health issues you can visit the Denia Public Hospital and their own Emergency care unit. There are also Private Clinics with providers such as IMED and HCB.

Supermarkets: There are a wealth of Supermarkets in Denia, ranging from Consum, Mercadona, Masymas, and Lidl, both large Supermarkets and smaller units. 
 
Area: Denia is a large town and there are areas for all tastes, from the Montgo, La Pedrera, Las Marinas, Las Rotas, and La Xara.

Property: Most properties for sale in Denia are located in different urbanisations (residential areas) which are quiet and residential, each catering to individual tastes, La Pedrera, Las Rotas, Las Marinas, etc. The center of Denia comprises mainly Apartments for sale, though in parts of the Old Town (Les Roques) of Denia you can still purchase original townhouses for sale, only a small walk into the center of Denia

Climate: With over 320 days of sunshine, the World Health Organization has designated it as "environmentally ideal."
