FIESTAS - Every year Spain gears up after the Winter with Fiestas, this is the way in which we like to celebrate the start of Spring, and where better to celebrate this than in the beautiful town of Moraira-Teulada?
The town hall (Ayuntamiento) has issued the year's guide to the festivities. The Fiesta Committees have been busy raising money for these events via a variety of means, including selling lottery tickets, holding parties, advertising in even guides, etc. It is a widespread belief that all of these events are funded by the local Town Hall, but this is not so. Every year as young adults reach 18 years of age they become “Festeros” and start to work on fundraising for the events to come, they work very hard at this, and so do there parents, so every year can be better than the last.

Holy Week - Easter
02nd to 09th April "Easter Celebrations"
12th to the 23rd April "Fiesta of San Vicent Ferrer", Teulada. This starts with the 10 days of Fiestas in Teulada, where you can truly see how the Spanish celebrate their town's “Patronal” fiestas, it ends on the 22nd of April, the day of Quintadas, a day you need to experience.
28th April to 1st May "Vive Teulada" - Gastro and Commercial Fair, Castle Moraira-Teulada
9th, to 11th May "Medieval Market", make sure you visit one of the Mojito stalls.
12th to 18th June "Moors and Christians" - This is a celebration of the invasion and subsequent defeat of the Moors by the Christians. The Conquest is on the 16th June, the 17th the Re-Conquest, followed by the Gala Parada on the 18th June, whereas the actual occupation of Spain was for 800 years.
23rd June , "Sant Joan" (San Juan) Bonfires, Playa De L´Ampolla and Teulada Placa - A night when we celebrate the longest night, by burning fires on the beach and generally having a lovely long night on the beach
30th June to 5th July Fiesta "Font Santa" at the Font Santa Hermitage - This is known as the secret Fiesta as only the Spanish really know about it, though it is well worth a visit to have a peek to what happens at a Fiesta.
08th July to 23rd July Fiesta "Nuestra Señora de Los Desamparados & Virgin Del Carmen". These are Moraira´s own fiesta (Patronal), Moraira generally stops for the Fiestas and the town is alive with Fiesta celebrations
28th July to 2nd August Fiesta "Els Sants de La Pedra" - Calvo Sotelo, Teulada - If you wnt to see one of the only full “Street Fiestas” in the Costa Blanca, head over to Calvo Sotelo in Teulada, this is a Fiesta that has to be seen to believed, living on this street requires stamina as every night is a party for 6 nights.

Throughout August you can find Jazz music playing at the Voramar Street Jazz Festival
The Final event of August, 11th 12th, and 13th August is the Medieval Fiesta and Market in Teulada Old Town, where all the old narrow streets become alive with market stalls, with outdoor restaurants by the church and the old town hall.
