The Marina Alta

Located in the Alicante province, in the Valencian Community, the Marina Alta has been voted one of the healthiest in the world by the World Health Organisation, with an average of nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees, not too hot in the summer nor too cold in the winter. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all-year-round destination. 

The Marina is well served by Airports, with Alicante a 50-minute drive and Valencia only an hour drive. It is also well served by road links, with the AP7 motorway which runs from Cadiz n the South of Spain to the French Border, north of Barcelona. 

The Marina Alta includes the coastal towns of Denia, Javea, Moraira, Benissa Coastal, Benitachell and Calpe, as well as the popular Jalon Valley, which includes the villages of Alcalali, Lliber, Murla, Benigembla, Castell de Castells, and Parcent, or the Orba Valley, which includes the villages of Benidoleig, Sagra, Tormos, Sanet y Negrals, Beniarbeig, Rafol d’Almunia and Benimeli.

There are so many places to explore in the Marina Alta, from the caves at Benidoleig, the gothic church of San Bartolome in Javea, and the Castle at Denia, too many to mention. In addition, there are numerous Golf Courses, La Sella in Denia, Javea Golf Club, and also the course at Oliva Nova.
